چکیده

Abstract. Atmospheric mercury speciation is of paramount importance for understanding the behavior once it emitted into atmosphere as gaseous elemental (GEM), oxidized (GOM) and particulate-bound (PBM). GOM PBM can also be formed in atmosphere; their sampling most problematic step atmospheric speciation. with traps composed KCl sorbent materials trapping solutions are commonly used methods, although research conducted them at ambient air concentrations limited. The results specificity test demonstrated that highly specific when using new traps, while drops dramatically they reused. stability indicated highest Hg2+ losses (up to 5.5 % loss) occur low amounts (< 1 ng) loaded, due a reduction Hg0. have been considered selective media samples. A dimensionless Henry law constant was experimentally derived calculate solubility Hg solution. degree GEM oxidation established by purging calibration gas solution determining trapped aqueous-phase propylation liquid–liquid extraction chromatography–atomic fluorescence spectrometry (GC-AFS) measurement. positive bias observed solutions, strongly suggesting this approach unsuitable measurements.

HIGH PRESSURE BEHAVIOR OF KCl: STRUCTURAL AND ELECTRONIC PROPERTIES

The high pressure behavior of the structural and electronic properties of KC1 is studied with use of the density functional pseudopotential method within local-density approximation. Atzero pressure, the rocksalt phase is found to be lower in energy than CsCl structure. However, we predict a phase transition into CsCI structure at a pressure of about 1.5 GPa. The calculated ground state pro...

Proposed New Electrolytic Conductivity Primary Standards for KCl Solutions

An absolute determination of aqueous electrolytic conductivity has been made for 0.01 molal (m) and 0.1 m potassium cliloride solutions, over the temperature range of 0 to 50 °C in 5 degree intervals. A cell with a removable center section of accurately known length and area was used for the measurements. Values were adjusted to be in conformity with the ITS-90 temperature scale. The overall un...
